Events

Over the years, OBAD has hosted a wide range of events aimed at promoting mental health awareness and wellness, including guest lectures by Margaret Trudeau and John Hemingway, clinical discussions on mood disorders, and collaborative art workshops focused on creativity and self-expression. These events have explored important topics such as addiction, dual diagnosis (concurrent mental health and substance use), and the effects of marijuana on schizophrenia.

As we move forward, OBAD is focusing its energy and resources on expanding our online and hybrid peer support programs. Our goal is to provide accessible, inclusive community support for individuals directly or indirectly affected by severe and persistent mood disorders, including their families, partners, friends, and caregivers. We continue to believe that creativity and self-expression are vital tools in fostering mental wellness, and these values remain central to our evolving programs.
